Sunday 19 February (1015 for 1030am). Leader Sheila Beeton. (01206 322171) Park in front of the Bristol Arms, Shotley Gate. Take A137 Ipswich bound to Bourne Bridge then right at roundabout B1456 all the way to Shotley Gate. Six mile walk but shorter route is available. Lunch afterwards at Bristol Arms.

Sun 11 March 1030am. To be led by John Rann (01206 769626) & Ruth Parmenter. (01245 494621) Meet at public car park 100 yards past The Swan PH at Chappel. (A1124 then The Street which is the 1^stturning after viaduct.) Five mile walk along river towards Earls Colne. Return under viaduct. Opportunity for lunch in The Swan.

Wed 4^th April (1000am). Leaders Geoff and Sylvia Nudds. (01206 323380) Meet at The Brewers Arms, Bower House Tye, Polstead (postcode CO6 5BZ) on the A1071 Hadleigh Road (take A134 towards Sudbury then right turn before Sudbury). Approx 5 miles with carvery lunch on our return.

Sun 22^nd April (1015 for 1030 start). Leader Liz Clinker. (01255 475886) Meet at Tendring Village Hall on B1035. A120 to Horsley Cross roundabout then right. Car park is located behind the hall which is opposite the church. It is a narrow entrance!! Walk of approx 4-miles. Nearby Cherry Tree for Sunday Lunch. Best to book (01255) 830340 mentioning Dedham Footpath Group.

Sunday 6^th May 1030am. Leaders Marlene Townes (01206 395524) & John Osborn (01473 313111). Meet at the Club House, Grange Country Park, Straight Road, (East End Road) East Bergholt 01206 298567. Park near the club house (space will be available). On entering the site need to drive straight on (shop and caravans on left). The walk will be approx 5 miles mostly through Dodnash Wood to Bentley and back. Sunday lunch and bar will be available on our return at about 1.30pm.

Friday 25 May 7pm. Leader Eve Jones (322068). Meet Royal Square for a 3-mile Dedham walk. Refreshments afterwards (from 8.30pm) in the garden of Eve and Carl’s home ‘The Travers’ in Crown Street. (Tip – park near house and walk to start)

Sunday June 24 Hindley Wood top of East Lane Dedham. Mid Summer barbecue walk at 2pm. Brian Hindley (01206 395579) and Ron Wood (01206 322196) will lead a local walk to precede the barbecue which is set for approximately 4pm. All welcome – not only members but also friends who are not walkers. It is worth bringing a couple of fold-up chairs and also your own beer and wine. Coffee will be provided and there will be plenty of food.

Wednesday 11 July To be led by Sheila Beeton (01206 322171). Meet at 1030am at the Hoist Covert car park just past church down Lodge Road Walberswick (Take B1387 turn off from A12 south of Blythburgh.) A circular walk to Southwold. An opportunity for lunch at the halfway point has been arranged. Those who can offer car space or those requiring it please contact Sheila.

Friday 27 July 7pm. Eve Jones (322068) to lead a walk of approx 3-miles along the bank of the River Orwell from Pin Mill. Meet in the PH car park of the Butt and Oyster (park there or nearby public car park.) Suggest taking A137 Ipswich bound to Bourne Bridge then right at roundabout B1456 to Chelmondiston then left for Pin Mill.

Sunday 19 August 2.30pm Leader Ron Wood 322196. Meet at Monks Cottage, end of Monks Lane (off Coles Oak Lane), Dedham (you can park on concreted area close to house) A three to four mile walk over local paths taking in Dedham Village. We are invited for refreshments at Monks Cottage (Ron’s Daughter & Son in Law) after walk.

Sun 23 Sept 2pm Leaders Robert Cort & Anita Morton (01206 323817) A 7-mile circular walk starting from Dedham War Memorial and heading towards Ardleigh A shorter 4-mile version is from Ardleigh where participants meet the main walk at 3pm by the footpath sign opposite the Ardleigh Hall gym. Walkers are asked to make their own arrangements for refreshments before and/or after walk.

Saturday 13 October 2012 10am Leaders Paul & Merriel Gallifant (01206 394202) Meet at Stoke by Nayland Church (toilets are usually open!) for a 5-mile walk in a particularly picturesque part of the Dedham vale. Please make own lunch arrangements. (Crown or Angel etc) after walk.

Wednesday 7November 1030am. Leader Ruth Brown (230384). Take A134 northerly direction and park at Yew Tree PH Great Horkesley. A 4-5 mile walk with lunch option.

Sunday 18 November 1030am. Leaders John Rann (01206 769626) & Ruth Parmenter (01245 494621). Meet Layer de la Haye. Park in road outside village hall in The Cut. Five mile walk through Chest Wood, Layer Mill and Abberton Reservoir with option of lunch at The Fox.

Wednesday 5 December 1030am. Leader Sue Everett (07712240449) An easy 2-hour circular walk from the Kings Arms, Lawford with lunch afterwards for those who would like it.
