Cannon, M. Dempsey, B. Hindley, R. Laverick, Mrs. K. Spencer, B. Stewart Ward Councillor: C. Garnett Parish Clerk: Mrs. J. Flewin Local Electors 5 1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE None. 2. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING were read, approved and signed. 3. MATTERS ARISING None. 4. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT Another full year has ended and it is with a touch of sadness I write this as it will be my last report having stood down at the recent elections. Also leaving are Cllrs. West, Cort, and Osborn, and I would like to thank them on behalf of myself and all the parish for the hard work and dedication that they have put in whilst they have been Dedham Parish Councillors. Yet again we must congratulate our Quiz Team who represented us again with one person down but who still won, making this their third success. Our planning committee has worked very hard all year to keep our village balanced and in accordance with our village design statement and we thank them for that. We now have our PCSO Natalie King and she is working very hard, communicating with young and old alike, and who can be seen walking her beat. We would like to thank her for the excellent job she is doing and for her reports at our council meetings. Cllr. John Osborn has once again been securing us grants and thanks to him we now have nice new notice boards in the village. All our village seats have been looked at and any maintenance needed dealt with. It just leaves me now to thank everyone for all their hard work throughout the year, including Mr. & Mrs. Ruff, and to wish success to those new councillors joining the council under the guidance of our Clerk, Jean, who is the fount of all knowledge and who I cannot thank enough. Good luck. |

REPORT OF BOROUGH COUNCILLOR Most items had been covered at the Ordinary Meeting held prior to this. He understood that weight checks had been carried out recently in Dedham. He urged the Parish Council to give serious thought to the provision of the youth shelter/seat which the PCSO was supporting Mr. Osborn is making applications for grants in this respect. 7. REPORT OF COUNTY COUNCILLOR Not present. 8. ANY OTHER BUSINESS Mr. McArthur hoped that should Dedham be lucky enough to get permanent toilets in the Mill Lane car park they would be sympathetically sited. He agreed that the position of the new temporary toilets was acceptable. There being no other business the meeting closed at 9.15 p.m. |
