 1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE   None

 2. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING were read, signed and approved.

 3. MATTERS ARISING  None

 4. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT   Resigning Chairman, Peter Moorhouse, thanked all the councillors for their hard work during this first year of the new Council.  With the resignation of Barry Stewart we had been fortunate to co-opt Cllr. White and he hoped that residents would come forward to fill the vacancy now created.   It was disappointing that the Borough Council had not supported the need for extra toilets in the village which were needed.  However, the year had seen the war memorial cleaned up and this was looking good. Other work during the year included the tidying up of the bus shelter in Long Road West , the installation of the VAS in Ardleigh Road and the erection of a machinery compound on the sports field.  He welcomed the formation of an Allotment Society and hoped that this venture would go forward.   Mr. Moorhouse congratulated our PCSO for her diligence, C.Cllr. Clover for his efforts to keep our roads in a good state of repair and Cllr. Garnett for all his help and advice.  Finally he wished to thank the Clerk for all her support during the year.

5. ACCOUNTS  The unaudited Expenditure & Income Accounts for the year ended 31st March, 2009, were presented to the meeting and were unanimously accepted.

These would now go forward for audit.

 6. REPORT OF BOROUGH COUNCILLOR   All matters covered in the preceding Ordinary Parish Council meeting.

7. REPORT OF COUNTY COUNCILLOR      Not present.

8.ANY OTHER BUSINESS     Mr. MacArthur wished to reiterate his thanks to the “surgery” team on the final success of their mission.     His comments were supported by all those present.

There being no other business the meeting closed at 9.40 p.m.
