1 The Classic
Walk

3 The Westerly Walk
  • A riverside walk with views across the water meadows
  • Employs footpaths that are generally quieter than those to the east of the village.
  • A chance to see historic Langham  Church

  • Takes in the attractions shown above for Walk 2
  • Gives scope to explore Dedham village

5 Wheelchair Friendly
  • Allows those who are wheelchair bound to enjoy the scenery of Dedham Vale.
  • Apart from one hump-back bridge, the route is virtually flat, and is not normally muddy.
  • A chance to see Bridge Cottage (with small, free Constable exhibition), Flatford Mill and Willy Lott's cottage

There is scope in some of the above walks to reduce the distance walked, by using the "blue shortcuts"
shown on the map of the walk.  If you want a longer walk, consider combining Walk 3 with Walk 2 or 4.
