I have lived in Dedham since 1979 with my wife Iris. I served with the Essex Police for 31 years, retiring as a Detective Superintendent, Divisional Commander of Crime Support Division in 1994. Since that time I had a period of employment and self employment as a solicitor’s cost draftsman until around 2006. During my time of self employment I have worked as a consultant specialising in fraud investigations. I have also been part time self employed as a schools’ photographer. Currently I am self employed as a trainer with the Ministry of Defence, which only takes up a few days per month.
In September 2005 I resurrected the Dedham Neighbourhood Watch and latterly this has encompassed Langham where I am the Area Coordinator.
My interests are my family, gardening, travelling and golf, being a member of Frinton Golf Club.
With my neighbour Ron Wood we own a small parcel of land in East lane which we both endeavour to maintain it to encourage wild life and have actively sought the advice and guidance of The Essex Wildlife Trust and the Dedham Vale and Stour Valley Project to ensure the land stays as natural as is possible.
