May 2015 - Updated Dedham Portal page added to replace the existing links page, updates to the Local History page under the 'about village tab' to include more links. March 2015 - Neighbourhood Watch page updated and live, Links page updated to include village policing, crime statistics and a number of Facebook links. January 2015, a new page acting as a portal to a number of Dedham related websites called Dedham Portal has been added under the 'about the village' tab.

Constable Country Ranger Scheme - Pilot project. The scheme involves recruiting volunteers from the local area to walk the footpaths between Dedham, Flatford, East Bergholt and Manningtree , to engage with the public and act as the eyes and ears on the ground for the DVVMG. This will : a. ensure visitors have a good visitor experience. b. provide visitors with information about the area, places to go, things to do, how to get there etc. c. show that the area is cared for so visitors, residents, local businesses benefit. Small Grants Fund. Dedham Parish Council is again welcoming applications for small grants in order to help our village clubs and organisations. Initial applications should be in by the end of June. Last year the Youth Club and the Dedham Toddler Group were awarded £300 and Dedham Old Boys Football Club received £250. Click on the Guidance Note for more information. The National Plant Monitoring Scheme. The scheme, which has just been launched, is the first of its kind and asks for volunteers across the United Kingdom to visit a kilometre square local to them and record the plants they find there in several different plots. The scheme will enable us to explore how plants in different habitats are responding to changes in the environment. For more information click on the links below.
